Kian Ghazi
Founder & Director of Research
Prior to founding Hawkshaw Research, Kian co-founded and ran Hawkshaw Capital Management, a $125 million AUM Registered Investment Advisor (2003-2012). The fund utilized a research intensive, value-oriented, long/short investment strategy with a heavy emphasis on deep dive primary research. Prior to Hawkshaw, Kian was a founding analyst at Midtown Capital, a value-oriented, long/short equity fund that scaled to over $1 billion in AUM (1998-2002). He was also a covering analyst at Lehman Brothers (1995-1998). Kian received his MBA from Wharton (1995) and his BS from NYU (1991).
Tarak Kadia
Senior Analyst
Tarak was an equity research analyst with Hawkshaw Research from 2015-2020 and rejoined the firm in 2024. Prior to joining Hawkshaw Research, Tarak was an equity research analyst at Hawkshaw Capital Management (2009-2012). The fund utilized a research intensive, value-oriented, long/short investment strategy with a heavy emphasis on deep dive primary research. Outside of finance, Tarak was the President of Reliance Property Management Group (2020-2024) and is a Teach For America alum (2002-2004). Tarak received his MBA from Columbia (2009) and his BA from Yale (2002).
Nicole Dee
Senior Analyst
Prior to joining Hawkshaw Research, Nicole was a partner at Sellaronda Global (2022-2024), a TMT- and Consumer-focused investment firm which was founded by a former partner at Cadian Capital. Prior to Sellaronda, Nicole was an analyst at Cadian, where she also focused her time within TMT and Consumer (2018-2022). She was previously at Silver Point Capital and Goldman Sachs. Nicole received a degree in Honors Business Administration at Ivey Business School at Western University (2015).
